R Kelly Has $28,000 In His Prison Account And Prosecutors Want It

Prosecutors see that R. Kelly has $28,000 in his prison inmate account and they didn't like that too much considering Kelly hasn't paid $140,000 in court-ordered fines.

So how did they find out? The government said it was informed by the Bureau of Prisons “that the defendant had accumulated substantial funds in his inmate trust account,” which can be used to buy food and items at the prison commissary.

As of Aug. 3, the amount was $28,328.24. As of now, The Bureau of Prisons has restrained the funds at the government’s request, leaving just $500 in his account.

Federal prosecutors are asking the judge to put the money into an interest-bearing account “pending a determination as to the amount and applicability of a restitution judgment.”

One of R. Kelly's lawyer's, Jennifer Bonjean, didn’t immediately return a voicemail message seeking comment about the government’s request.

My thing is, where did R. Kelly get $28,000? I feel like it's fans putting money into his account. Sad.
