Kanye West's return to Twitter included a nine-minute rant about "mind control."

Hours after arriving in Uganda on Saturday (October 14), the "I Love It" rapper took to the social media platform, which he deactivated days prior, to discuss a range of ways to "unprogram" our minds — his most stressed idea being that individuals stop believing the "lies" of social media.

"I just wanna talk about mind control," he began. "You know when people try to influence you through social media and try to tell you what to do, or if people post something that's positive on Instagram it gets taken down if it's not part of a bigger agenda. That's, like, mind control...That's the poison that's happening with social media."

The "Lift Yourself" rapper then when on a tangent about how he feels "when people try to tell [him] what to do." "If someone tries to tell me what I can do, what I can wear, I feel like they're touching my brain," he explained. "Imagine cutting your skull open and someone touched your brain. Imagine how that would hurt you. That's how it feels when someone tells me what  I can or can't do."

Kanye went on to discuss how he believes social media has negatively impacted our minds, and his plans to hopefully improve its impact. "I just talked to (the CEO of Twitter) Jack Dorsey tonight, he said they're working for the next four months on reprogramming to allow people to take off the followers and allow people to take off the likes because that works against your self-worth," he explained. "The beauty you have is inside you. It's not based on how many records you sell. It's not based on how nice your car is." Adding, "Social media is a lie...Social media told you Hillary Clinton was going to win, and she didn't win. Social media told you nobody likes me, but everybody loves me. Everybody loves Ye."

After telling viewers he is the "best living recording artist" and that they should "unprogram [their] minds. Open [their] heart. Let [their] conscience be free," Ye proceeded to say that "the spirit of Fela [Kuti], the spirit of [Bob] Marley, the spirit of [2]Pac flows through" him. Ultimately, Kanye ended his rant saying: "If I let human beings and people — humans, rather, and people — tell me what to do, tell me what I can't do, [then] I can't be a vessel to you ... the reason why Pac did what he did, he was a vessel. He is. His energy never dies. Bob Marley: vessel. Fela: vessel. Ye: vessel."

As previously reported, Ye went to Africa to continue recording his upcoming album, Yandhi. "We're going to Africa in two weeks to record," he told Harvey Levin of TMZ last month. "I felt this energy when I was in Chicago. I felt the roots. We have to go to what is known as Africa... and just grab the soil and cook food... and have my kids in the studio, and have the mic in the open so you can hear nature while we're recording."
