Broward Sheriff's Deputy Involved In Shooting During Domestic Violence Call

A domestic disturbance call leads to a deputy-involved shooting in Broward. Three Broward Sheriff's deputies were responding to the call from an apartment on Catalina Circle-just east of the Sawgrass Expressway when they spotted a man holding a knife-they tried to get him to drop it, but he refused forcing one of them to fire. Rod Skirvin, President of the Broward Police Benevolent Association, says the man died at the hospital. A female, believed to be his ex-girlfriend, was found dead on scene. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now investigating which is standard after a deputy-involved shooting.
