Dolphins Receiver Kenny Stills Vows To Continue Kneeling

A key member of the Miami Dolphins plans to continue his controversial protest.

Wide receiver Kenny Stills took to Instagram Sunday to say that he will keep taking a knee this season during the national anthem.

Stills says he wants to call attention to what he considers to be social injustice and systematic oppression.

Colin Kaepernick, who is believed to have started the movement of players kneeling during the singing of the "Star Spangled Banner," took to the social media site to urge Stills and other players who are also engaging in the protest to stay strong.

Earlier this preseason, Stills spoke out against Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who hosted a fundraiser for President Trump at his home in New York.

Ross said he has friends on both sides of the political aisle, including Trump, even though he admitted they disagree on many issues.

Both Ross and Trump are developers from New York with homes in Palm Beach.

Stills later said he and Ross had spoken about the situation and agreed to disagree.

There are no plans by the team to punish Stills for taking a knee.
