President touts economic, pandemic handling to Florida economic group

President Trump defended his response to the coronavirus pandemic during a livestream address Wednesday to the nonpartisan Economic Club of Florida and similar clubs in five other states.

"Thanks to advances in treatment we pioneered in record time, we reduced the fatality rate 85% since April," President Trump said. "I'm also working to get emergency approval for the powerful antibody treatment I received."

The president also touted his economic record during the virtual appearance.

"I implemented massive tax cuts and regulation cuts to keep jobs, opportunity and wealth in America."

President Trump also had an ominous warning for the country if he's not re-elected.

"If I don't get elected in a little while, 20 days, China will own the United States- I can tell you that."

President Trump will participate in a live, broadcast 'town hall' event in Miami Thursday night while at the same time Joe Biden holds a 'dueling' 'town hall' in Philadelphia. The president is scheduled to host a rally Friday at Ocala International Airport.
