Marion Sheriff Deputies And K9 ”Robo” Successfully Track Wanted Suspect

Marion County, FL.(Florida News Network)-A deputies body camera is rolling as a Marion county sheriff's K-Nine unit sniffs out a bad guy! On November 15, Marion County Sheriff Deputies responded to a home in the 10800 block of SE 146th Terrace Road, in reference to a disturbance call involving Jason Blackwell. Blackwell had a warrant out of Georgia for Robbery by Sudden Snatching. By the time deputies arrived, Blackwell had taken off and was hiding from deputies. K-9 Sgt. Hooper and K-9 Robo arrived and found Blackwell hiding in a thick wooded area, K-9 Robo apprehended him. During his arrest, deputies located drug paraphernalia on him so he received an additional charge. Blackwell is facing charges that include, robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and hiding from the police.
