(Tallahassee, FL) -- When it comes to COVID, the governor is accused of putting politics ahead of science.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel is reporting that, in late September, county health officials were told by the state not to talk about the virus.
That order lasted through November, but the Governor Ron DeSantis' spokesman denies it was about politics. The spokesman tells the Sun Sentinel polling showed COVID-19 messaging had reached a saturation point, and he also says the governor's messaging has been consistent as the pandemic has become political.
