Boeing 737 Max Back In Service with First Flight from Miami

US-AVIATION-BOEING 737 MAX

(Miami, FL) -- After nearly two years, the modified and recertified Boeing 737 Max is carrying passengers again. The first flight in the country took off from Miami International Airport this morning bound for New York's LaGuardia Airport.

American Airlines President Robert Isom says no corners have been cut and not only is this newer aircraft more environmentally friendly, but passengers can enjoy the added interior amenities. He is so confident in the aircraft, he was on the first flight from Miami International to New York's LaGuardia Airport.

Currently operating at 45% of its overall schedule, American plans to increase flights as demand grows.
