A Leon County circuit judge hearing arguments today about whether he should toss out a lawsuit filed by North Miami Beach State Senator Jason Pizzo over Governor DeSantis' decision to fly migrants to Martha's Vineyard. Attorney Mark Eiglarsh says it's not likely to be dismissed since there are too many factual issues in dispute. The other issue is whether or not the governor lawfully used funds allocated in the state budget to facilitate the transport of unauthorized aliens. Pizzo argues money spent on transport was used to improperly create a new program violating the state Constitution, DeSantis claims the budget is frequently used to create programs.
