Ray J is firing back after a photographer alleged the singer applied fake blood to his eyes during his recent concert.

On Monday, February 16, photographer Tommy Nard II shared video footage from the Valentine's Day show in Shreveport, La., with KTAL. The quick clip appears to show Ray J lying down behind the DJ booth. At one point, it looks like Ray J applies a red substance to his face right before he returns to the stage.

"I seen him literally put on the fake blood and things like that, and go out there with the crowd, which is very shocking that he’d do something like that," the photographer said.

Soon after that video spread across the Internet, both Ray J and his manager, Melinda Santiago, defended his performance. Santiago previously issued a statement, in which she acknowledged her client's health issues but insisted that the show must go on. In addition, she also addressed the photographer from the show and dismissed his claims

"The bottom line is Ray J has been in and out of the hospital dealing with health and heart issues. That is a fact. Another fact is that the meds that Ray is on have some side effects," she told People. "It's absurd that a local videographer (not our team) would want to clout chase for five min of fame off of Ray J name and play about Ray being sick is sick in itself. My job is to protect my artists backstage from opportunistic people. If we can't do that, then I’ll be cutting off all backstage access moving forward."

In his phone call with The Breakfast Club's Loren LoRosa, Ray J said he would never use his health issues to go viral. He also said that he spoke to the photographer himself and said the shooter was only trying to make light of the situation. He also spoke about his ex, Princess Love's, reaction to his performance and said he's "never seen her this emotional."
