Yeat is turning a lot of heads as he invokes a classic move inspired by "The Sopranos" to promote his upcoming album.

On Tuesday, February 17, the "New Trip" rapper posted a video of a taxi cab speeding away while he was in New York City. The video focuses on the back of the yellow cab, which shows a fake, tatted-up arm with its index finger chopped off hanging out of the trunk. Below the faux arm is a bumper stick that says "Lyfe is DANGEROUS."

"ion need my arm imma still drop the album. ADL," Yeat wrote as the caption.

Soon after, other fans noticed Yeat's arm in other taxis around the city and posted them online. The 25-year-old artist took a page right out of "The Sopranos" marketing playbook. HBO used the same tactic to promote the show ahead of its debut in 1999. The network used fake arms, complete with pinky rings on the hands, and hung them out of the trunks of yellow taxis in the heart of New York City.

The brilliant marketing ploy kicks off the rollout for Yeat's anticipated album A Dangerous Lyfe. He first teased the album in 2024 along with his previous LP Lyfestyle. He originally planned to drop both of them in the same year, but only followed through with Lyfestyle. The project holds 22 tracks including collaborations with Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Kodak Black and summrs. Yeat held on to ADL, but he dropped his Dangerous Summer EP to hold fans down.

As of this report, Yeat has not confirmed the release date for A Dangerous Lyfe, but we're sure he'll reveal it very soon. Get a closer look at Yeat's fake arm below.
