Beaches in Naples remain closed to the public. However, the city has been working to clear the sand and make conditions safe for residents when it’s time for them to return.
On Sunday morning, access to the Naples pier was closed, and all beaches in Naples and Collier counties remain closed.
According to the Naples police, several potential hazards, such as glass, metal, wood, and plastic, are still hidden under the water and sand in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
