This is a wild video of a high speed chase in Fort Myers that ended with the suspect crashing his car and then jumping into the Caloosahatchee River.
I remember walking by downtown Fort Myers on Friday night with some friends and we saw all the police in the area and on the bridge and my friend said "I think someone jumped in the river."
I didn't think anything of it until this footage just came out and he was absolutely right!
The suspect was eventually captured out of water and charged with fleeing the police, grand theft auto and a couple of other charges.
