There’s an empowering new movement abreast on social media.
Chidera Eggerue — known on Instagram as the Slumflower — has gotten hundreds of women to share cleavage pics on their profiles for a cause: the celebration of saggy boobs.
Using the hashtag #SaggyBoobsMatter, the 23-year-old internet sensation says she hopes to inspire those women who’ve felt insecure about their cleavage, which doesn’t quite stand up to the perky bosoms on your average Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, Buzzfeed UK reports.
“I created the hashtag #SaggyBoobsMatter because women are shamed when their bodies don’t appease the male gaze,” Eggerue wrote on Instagram. “Saggy boobs are underrepresented. Being underrepresented makes you feel alien to society.”
Thanks to her, hundreds of brave women are posting photos of their chests with captions such as “Posing for my low-set and saggy t – tty ladies, we’re changing the rules #saggyboobsmatter.”
Eggerue’s movement is the latest boob trend to take social media by storm. Lately, Instagram has been blowing up with “no bra club” crop tops, worn by influencers and models.
