We waste a lot of food

From The New York Post, "According to new research published Thursday in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, the average American household wastes nearly one-third of its food. The squandering comes at a cost: $1,866 a year per household, on average, for a total of $240 billion annually in the US. Higher-income households generated more waste, as did healthier households eating more perishable fruits and vegetables." Do you waste a lot of the food you buy? I find that when we actually food prep, we waste more. We'll food prep, but then get bored of the food we've prepped and start going "off menu" and we end up tossing some of the food we've previously prepped. Food prep works for some and actually can cut waste for some, but does not work for my family at all. Lol...more here
