The Walkman is 40! The Sony Walkman was by no means the ONLY, or even the FIRST portable music player, but it was certainly the one that at one time Americans went crazy for the most! They sold millions of these things here, which played cassettes, then eventually CDs and even an updated/retro version that plays music digitally.
