The Cursed History of the Sexy Green M&M
1997 was the year we first saw the green M&M in a tv commercial and she was instantly labeled and marketed as "sexy". Kind of strange to sexualize a candy, but the fact is the green M&Ms have had a long history of being the sexy one. The green M&Ms have been rumored to have aphrodisiac properties for decades and M&Ms even sued a company in 1992 for making all-green M&M-looking candies. Since then, M&Ms introduced another female character, the girl-boss brown M&M and since then there has been rumors of lesbianism between she and the green one and even some less-than-authorized fan art to that effect as well.
