NEVER accept a friend request without checking these 3 things
In a world where we have so many forms of communication, one of which being social media, we are inundated with friend requests. Sure, most of them are harmless enough, relatives, friends IRL, the occasional person you haven't seen since high school, but others are from people you truly don't know, so how do you trust them and decide to accept the friend request? Here are some pretty basic guidelines to follow to make sure you not getting stalked, or scammed: 1) Friends in Common- how many shared connections do you have and who are those connections? 2) Make Sure It's Not a Duplicate Profile- pretty self-explanatory, but yes, make sure it's not a fake page for a real person 3) Look for Recent Activity- impostor pages rarely have any activity. Are they posting? Are they getting any reactions to posts? If not, stay away. These tips and more found here
