Organizers seek to change Lee County to Bruce Lee County
There is a change.org petition to change the name of Lee County, FL to Bruce Lee County, FL. I am SO here for this! Bruce Lee had a HUGE impact on America. He was a pop culture icon and still is, he revolutionized martial arts and still inspires people to study martial arts to this day, not to mention he paved the way for Asians in Hollywood. Everybody LOVES Bruce Lee, except for maybe Quenton Tarantino, so I don't see ANYONE objecting to this, I DO however, see people objecting to our county still being named after a racist general. It's 2021, it's time to erase the hate and replace it with lightning-fast kicks and name our county after the greatest martial artist that has or will ever live.
