We’re all saying IKEA wrong
Ah the Swedes, with their beautiful furniture that they've bestowed upon us, which for some reason, NEVER seems to get put together correctly. Well, it turns out we have been saying the name of the famous furniture store IKEA the whole time and it is a kick to the Swedish meatballs! In America, we say IKEA as "eye-key-uh"...in Sweden, they pronounce it "ee-key-uh"...oops. At this point, it's kind of like calling someone by the wrong name for so long that they don't even bother to correct you. More here
