Delivery driver slams “tip baiting”, but customers defend it

A delivery driver is slamming the practice known as "tip bating", but some people are on the side of those that do it! Tip baiting is when you present a larger tip on the app, ensuring that your order will be picked up quickly by a driver that wants that tip, but then after the food is dropped off, the customer lowers the tip amount. A long-time feature on most food delivery apps, the right to change the tip amount is for when you get "subpar service" according to some. How do you feel? It would suck to think you're getting a good tip, only to see it lower significantly, but it also sucks when you pay for good service and get ripped off. But at the end of the day, you don't break a promise and I see that as kind of a promise you made to the driver. If you got screwed, maybe trying cooking for yourself next time. More here
