Beauty queen almost dies from a deadly jellyfish sting to the butt
A British beauty queen almost died after a jellyfish stung her in the butt! Miss England pageant contestant Pratishtha Raut was left hospitalized for two days after being stung on the butt by a box jellyfish during a vacation to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. She said “The pain from the sting was unbearable, It felt like someone poured hot boiling water on my body, and the skin started to melt.” These box jellyfish can grow up to 10-feet long, and the toxins in their tentacles can cause paralysis, cardiac arrest and death. No thanks! The real kick in the butt (pardon the pun) is that she went out at the SAME TIME a warning was being given about the jellyfish being present and her group wasn't around to hear it.
