TikTok’s famous “12-3-30" treadmill workout, explained 

A treadmill workout has gone viral on TikTok recently, leaving a lot of people wondering, what is the "12-3-30" workout? That means you get on a treadmill with a 12% incline, at 3 mph, for 30 minutes. Lauren Giraldo first discovered this through what she called "trial and error" to find a workout that was motivating and doable. After hitting a low point in the gym, she found this combo to be challenging, but fun. She credits it with helping her lose 30 pounds and that workout video has more than 2 million likes on TikTok alone. Plus, the hashtag #12330 now has more than 81 million views on TikTok and it's tagged in thousands of posts on Instagram. Lauren believes the simplicity of the workout is what makes it so popular. The CDC recommends that adults get 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week, which the "12-3-30" workout can do. Experts also point out that the 12% incline will almost double your calorie-burn and increase your heart rate.
