Popeye’s unveils a spicy chicken sandwich
When the Chicken Sandwich Wars first heated up and America pitted the ever-popular Chick-fil-A vs. Popeye's, who up until then did not have a chicken sandwich, there were definitely some casualties. Lines for the new Popeye's chicken sandwich went around blocks all over the country. Customers were fighting with each other, customers were fighting with employees, it was madness! Now, Popeye's is ready to drop another new chicken sandwich on us...a spicy chicken sandwich. The $4.99 Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich is available for a limited time and it has the sandwich's classic ingredients with a twist...hand-battered crispy chicken on a brioche bun with pickles, but it's topped with a new sauce that's a mix of buttermilk ranch and spicy buffalo. Since the Chicken Sandwich Wars started in 2019, it seems that every fast food restaurant has gotten into the chicken sandwich game, with new offerings from McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King, so there's no doubt that the competition is pretty thick. I'm curious to see how this one is! If it's anything like their original sandwich, I'm sure it'll be awesome! More here
