More than half of America wants “comfort” TV and movies
Most Americans turn to TV to relax, more so than any other form of relaxation, so it should come as no surprise that we are looking for comfort viewing to achieve that. Comfort TV and movies are basically familiar viewing choices that make you feel good when you watch them. Dopamine is released and the feelings of stress and anxiety are held at bay. More than half of us turn to comfort tv and movies(55%), while others prefer a bath(42%), or yoga(33%) for relaxation. Obviously that means more people choose to relax with TV than any other method.
