The unthinkable is happening...Taco Bell is running out of Mexican Pizza
No!! Not just no, but HELL NO!!! It seems that Taco Bell is running out of the one thing that has made me run back after a two-year Taco Bell hiatus. You see, if you don't know the history, Taco Bell went through a menu purge two years ago and sadly, a fan-favorite, the Mexican Pizza was one of the casualties. After MANY voiced their opinions to Taco Bell, the chain brought it back May 19th, a day when we Mexican Pizza lovers screamed "viva la revolucion!" in victory. Sadly, after just a few short, delicious weeks, Taco Bell is running OUT of Mexican Pizza, with a vague plan to bring it back "later this year". Is this what we fought for? Is this what we cried for? Is this what we bled Fire sauce for? I say NO! Demand for the Mexican Pizza was seven times higher than when it last appeared on menus, with one fan buying 180 of them AT ONCE. Taco Bell said in a statement that it's working "diligently with our restaurants and suppliers" to get more ingredients and hopes it returns to menus permanently "by this fall." They better act fast, it turns out the Mexican Pizza buzz was very profitable for Taco Bell, who saw a 5% rise in recent sales. Check out more here
