FL lawmaker wants to criminalize parents bringing kids to drag shows
You know, because there's NOTHING else to worry about when it comes to our children, a Florida lawmaker wants to protect kids from what they need protection from the most...drag shows. You know, the shows where men dress like women and usually sing, all while wearing WAY over-the-top clothing, hair and makeup? Yeah, those. This lawmaker thinks drag shows are the bane of our society and thinks that parents that DARE to bring their kids to one of these drag shows should be held as a criminal. I wonder, did he run this by ANYONE before just putting it out there? I mean, has this lawmaker even ever BEEN to a drag show? Because, I don't know if you know this or not, but it's NOT sexual AT ALL. It is literally fully-clothed men dressed as women singing and that is IT. The bold, sassy attitude of those in drag isn't sexual and nothing about this could possibly harm a child, yet here we are, with a lawmaker trying to criminalize kids at drag shows, or their parents at least.
