Is this the McRib’s “final tour”?
It's been over 40 years since McDonald's debuted the McRib. A pork patty, slathered in tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and pickles and set onto a fresh-baked bun. Delicious. It was on the menu for 4 years straight when it came out in 1981, then it was taken off of the permanent menu and brought back seasonally to much fanfare. It had one "farewell" in 2005, when some say the prices of pork were too high for McDonald's to deal with in that much volume, because let's face it, every time it comes out, they sell a LOT of them! Well, it is back for a limited-time as usual, but this time McDonald's says it is the "final" farewell to this beloved creation. Is it really the final farewell, or do you think we'll see it come back again? We can hope right?
