If you live alone, “freedom comes with a cost” . Meaning that it can be pretty expensive to live alone, especially with inflation, etc. But, is it worth it?

Oh sure, being single is great right? You get to do whatever you want, with whoever you want, any time you want and have nobody to answer to. It's fantastic right? You can eat what you want, go to sleep when you want and live your best life on YOUR terms, without feeling responsible for someone else's happiness, BUT at what cost? Being single is expensive y'all. If you look at rents across the U.S., rents are sky high and without someone to help defer the costs, it can get pretty pricey. Those that live alone will spend about $7,000 more per year on renting a one-bedroom median apartment, versus those living with others. Also, the bigger the city, the more rent is. Want to live in NYC? Get ready to spend $20K at least for a year of rent. Yikes. Not cheap to live alone. See more here
