This is why you don’t leave a lighter in your pants when they go in the dryer. As you can imagine it caused a near-disaster and a weird story for sure!
I'm not sure how often people leave lighters in their pockets before putting them in the laundry, but I have to think that number FAR surpasses the number of times something like THIS happens: a man left a lighter in his pocket and when it went into the dryer, it made the whole dryer EXPLODE!! You can see in the video in the story that this explosion at a laundromat takes out a glass door and door frame, plus a huge glass window! The man just BARELY made it out of the laundromat as the dryer exploded, getting briefly stopped by pushing on the "Pull" door and that unfortunately led to some injury, but he is ok.
